• Filming in Bland Offices - A Treatise In Progress

  

  This week again, I've been called on to capture footage for a client from directly inside their place of business - a familiar complex of small, beige boxes. Despite their ubiquity, these environments which prioritize neutrality and cost-reduction, remain a challenge for all brands of image-makers attempting to reflect any degree of warmth, creativity, or accomplishment that hasn't been stamped out by its oppressive environment.

  Because this type of project is so common to commercial videographers, I want to document my experiences here so that I can formalize my own processes, but also maybe help anyone coming after me. I will adress common challenges, solutions, and best practices all within a general commentary on the task
